Well, I don't deserve a blog.  I can't update frequently at all.

As a side note - I now own Stoben.com.

Woo.

I probably won't update this anymore

Long time lurker on my own site - first time poster.

Go figure.  Approximately two years after I make my website, I post the first blog.  Bah.

Well, I'm currently a sophomore majoring in Computer Systems/Electrical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  I'm also involved in a number of other activities this year as well.  I'm currently employed through undergraduate research with the Wadsworth Center in Albany, NY.  I'm also involved in the Rensselaer Consortium for Open Source Development (RCOS).  I'm working on a non-contact MCG using microwaves from consumer level networking technology.  On top of all of this, I'm an active member of the Game Development Club, and getting all of my homework done/staying on top of my studies.  Whew!

As far as Brain Computer Interfaces are concerned, I'm helping out with the BCI2000 project.  I'm one of the lead contributors to version 3 of the software. Over the last summer, I ported the whole system from Borland over to CMake/Qt.  I'm also coding experiment paradigms for the researchers at the lab.  My next large contribution to the project will be to interface Torque3D with BCI2000.  I'm so excited.

I've got quite a bit of experience with Torque.  I've been working with it since version 1.3, around 4 years ago.  I've finally had an opportunity to sink my teeth into T3D and its quite tasty.  I've used Torque for a number of the Game In a Day competitions I've participated in through the Game Development Club.  Hopefully, in the coming months I'll be uploading my Game in a Day entries to the Games page.

Perhaps its time for an entire site re-design...

Headed out to MIGS (Montreal International Games Summit) today.  I'm really excited for this fantastic learning opportunity!  I hope I make a few contacts and learn a few things about the games industry.  I don't know if this is where my future lies, but its still an exciting prospect nevertheless!

I'll try to update this a bit more.  I think I'm going to update my music page now.
